"From a young age, I liked creating things and over the years have tried painting in various mediums, ceramics, pottery and mould making, selling at markets and to local shops. My love of travel, textiles and unique handmade items lead me to open my own colourful shop on the mid-north coast stocking hand selected treasures from artisans across the globe. My business and raising 3 boys has kept me busy for the past 15 years, and sourcing and merchandising stock has satisfied my creativity. About 2 years ago, with more time on my hands, I started playing with paint again. I put a few of my smaller floral works in my shop and was surprised to find many people loved them which gave me confidence to experiment and develop my style and eventually admit to being the ‘artist’. I recently sold my shop to start a new adventure and concentrate on my art. I love colour and pattern and my work is mostly inspired by my travels, exotic textiles and nature. I work mostly with acrylics but often finish with Posca pens or oil crayons for added details."
