Still life and the placement of treasured objects in the home has always been of interest to me. Objects can hold memories that link the past to the present. I aim to create a sense of nostalgia and playfulness in my still life works.
Painting ordinary objects and flowers has become a great passion for me over the past few years. I paint from life, photo reference memory and intuition. When painting these objects it gives them an everlasting life and deepens my appreciation of these simple treasures.
I am a full-time practicing artist who lives and works from my home-based studio in Northern NSW. I move between the two genres of landscape and still life.
