Sandra Tancredi-Sanders
Sandra is an artist and full-time art teacher who lives in the historic, central Victorian Goldfields town of Clunes. Current works aim to capture the essence of the surrounding volcanic landscape, the region’s rounded hill forms, sublime moody skies and cloud formations, and the ephemeral transitions of the natural environment. Growing up in Diamond Valley and Eltham, Sandra’s early interest in art was fuelled by living amongst the artistic communities there.
Sandra completed a Bachelor in Fine Art, majoring in painting and drawing, under the tutelage of important Australian artists/teachers including Dale Hickey, Betty Churcher and Nick Mourtsakis at Phillip Institute, now RMIT, and later completed Secondary teaching qualifications in art and design. Sandra has exhibited in many group exhibitions in Clunes, Daylesford, Ballarat and Melbourne.
